As such there is no 'set-area' where we could place the player to play through the full DLC immediately.
It's certainly worth playing through again in our opinion, the team have added so much to the world both aesthetically and feature wise - even if you've completed the game before it should feel like a fresh and new experience!
Players who have beaten the game months ago now have to re-learn the game but on a harder difficulty to play a bit of DLC.
I appreciate that it's free but you've incorporated the DLC into the game in such a way that very few people are going to experience it.
I like how Hollow Knight did its content updates, you reload your old save and boom here's this new area and that one, and another one. You check them out and move on.
The way you handled this, even new players will be disappointed since the DLC is locked behind a NG+ cycle, so everyone has to replay the game to see it.
Does it mean I won't be able to play new content on my first playthrough? I'm gonna have to play everything twice in order to access the new area/bosses?
Many of the new NPCs, quality of life features and new mechanics are available in your first playthrough.
The Stir of Dawn Questline is only available in NG+, however.
Maybe it could be a good idea to pin a link to a 100% save for those who want to jump straight yo NG+?
Or as said maybe not a bad idea the option to start NG+ on first run, even if it would be much more challenging.
I think it's amazing that the developers put out free content, but I really think they did it in the worst possible way for the very few people who will ever see it.
Please tell me you exchanged the voice acting of Crisanta.
That said, i don't want to sound ungrateful, DLC is more then welcome.
