I really have no idea what this annoying movement is in the video game industry to make everyone play on the same difficulty.
The real difficulty has been in the combat. Individual enemies all have fairly simple patterns. The game seems to throw new enemies at you one at a time so you can learn how to actually fight them, but then it'll throw you against combinations of enemies or put you up against them in less than ideal conditions, that's where the game's challenge is.
You can also choose to have assistance at the first three (real) bosses, which makes them a breeze.
Just don't go up as the first thing you do in the game, as that area is a bit too hard to begin with. If you see snow, turn back. Explore the lower regions to get used to the game before going up the mountain.
I mean i still finish them all but this copying of dark souls has to stop. STOP LISTENING TO LOUD PLAYERS, give people options...if those people don't like others enjoying the game their way there are medical professionals that can help with weird complexes. It's like the industry is going backwards. Everytime i hear souls like fanboys and it's watching a Space Force rally....
Same way call of duty ruined shooters and turned them all into boring military crap for about 10 years, it's just ridiculous.
I totally agree with this. Provide more options so the game has wider audiences. Why alienate those players that don't like extremely difficult games?
I like the artwork and the theme of Blasphemous, but I now totally avoid playing punishing games that cater to masochists who has a lot of time on their hands.
I feel like its short sighted and perhaps a bit out of touch with what made the Souls series so successful to just simply make a game difficult just to tap into that somewhat small consumer base.
Nah this isn't true - it isn't that hard. Try it out.
This game is nothing like DS, people. Just play it.
I've played many "hardcore" platformers and have to say that I find Blasphemous to be quite easy in comparison to most of them. I do not know if you have played games like; Oniken or Odallus before but even compared to those Blasphemous is MUCH easier. I have cleared several bosses so far and have not died to them even once. The few deaths I had so far were just results of impatience and blindly jumping down into pits and spikes.
