Tree guy died. Am I really locked away out of 100%? [Possible spoilers]
So, I didn't even get to see him alive, first time I found him he had already turned into a tree. Then I saw a comic mocking that if you let him die before getting him the oil, you don't get to do 100% of the game. So is that true, or using the Linen of Golden Thread to reach the tomb he would have revealed to us is enough to cover his death on the 100%?

Also, he gave me a second empty thimble for some reason, so now I have a seemingly useless item on my inventory. Will it be used for something else or was it a bug?

As long as you get the frozen olive, you can still 100% the game, but there will be two nodes on the map that you will be unable to reveal, which is annoying for total completionists.

From https://blasphemous.fandom.com/wiki/Gemino

(Heavy spoilers)

Gémino's quest has three potential outcomes, depending on when the quest is completed.

1.
If Gémino is brought the oil before he is fully entombed, an entrance to Engracia's tomb will be revealed nearby. Placing the Dried Flowers Bathed in Tears upon the coffin will cause it to open, and jumping into it will lead down into the tomb where the Saeta Dolorosa can be found. Reload the area to find a bed of blooming flowers and the Frozen Olive where Gémino once stood.

2.
If Gémino is entombed by the time he is given the oil, he will be frozen after reentering the area and the Frozen Olive can be found at his feet. The tomb and prayer Saeta Dolorosa can be accessed using the Linen of Golden Thread.

3.
If Gémino is completely ignored he will become fully entombed after two bosses are defeated. The Golden Thimble will be at his feet, and can still be filled with oil and given to Gémino's corpse. After giving the oil and reloading the area, the Frozen Olive can be found at his feet. The tomb and prayer Saeta Dolorosa can be accessed using the Linen of Golden Thread.

If I understood correctly, you could miss Frozen Olive (Rosary Bead) and be locked out of 100% that way. But if the wiki is correct, you could get it anyway?

Oh, yeah, so you don't need to complete the whole map to get 100%? That's convenient, though really it's annoying to leave it that way lol guess I'll have to play the game again sometime. Thanks for the help.

Missing this quest used to lock you out of 100%, but a later patch fixed it so you can still get the bead.

There are no missables that prevent 100% completion in the game now.

I just lost my interest in playing this game. Devs should never do timed events that i am not even hinted of.
