Definite clear Demon's Crest influence in here. There's none of the overworld town management stuff from Act Raiser.

I never played Act Raiser but it reminds me of Sega Genesis/Super Nintendo era platformers. Even more than other modern games of the same style. I don't know what it is but it has the same vibe as those old games.
