Well thanks, I just beat him, first retry, by staying on the left of the map.
(that, or it did get easier I don't know)
It also helped that I had the item to protect you while you're healing (without it the flasks are just wasted)
Dodge by jumping when he does the electro spin, then parry his maces when is not imbued by lightning. He will get paralized by a moment, and you can deal some decent damage by that moment
10 Mins Ago I just started Blasphemous again and on the first attempt I did him really easy, don't even use a flask till the near end as he has 2 bars left. But to be sure I used them (His Sister is a little annoyence but okay ...).
It helped a lot to ONLY (really ONLY!) focus on attacking after his lighting swings and position in the corner he's swinging towards. After that I just hit him 3-4 times and used twice the dodge to get out of the way and positioned in the other Corner to wait for his swings. I did this the whole time and as I say it's now really easy and I loved the fight lol. Want it once more xD ...
Before I read this tipp and looked the video I died about 50-60 times (2 times I needed only 1 hit to kill him but he were faster than me).
For anybody still struggling or just discovering this piece of art now ;) Don't give up and stay calm :D
What I found with him is to really play hit and run, stay away when he's spinning around, and just try to not get hit. If you can get some parries and combos in when you can you'll be good. It makes the fight long and kind of boring but if it works, hey.
Perpetua is not a guy :). If you beat her when heading to Jondo, she drops an item that will absorb some Lightning damage. But yes, she will be summoned into the fight regardless, so be ready for that.
