It's Time........To finally buy a proper controller!

Like the title says.....
If you don't have a decent gaming pad you're missing out.
I know that we are The Master Race of gaming and all the console peasants can't comprehend the beauty off PC gaming and all other nice stuff that comes with it, but.....

Some games really play better on a pad than with a keyboard.
For example, I sucked in games like Dark Souls until I switched to a pad.
It just felt more natural than playing on a keyboard and I was better in that game in an instance!

That's because some games are made with that control scheme in mind.
Of course they're gonna play better, they were made for pads.

And let me give you some food for thought:
You use three fingers just for moving, on a keyboard....
You only use ONE, on a pad. :)

Don't get me wrong, for FPS games, mouse&keyboard are godlike, but for some games, Pad is superior.

So my friendly advice is:

Go get yourself a decent pad, PS4 (which works really well with a program called "DS4Windows") or XBox controller, it doesn't matter.
It's an investment that will make your gaming experience more enjoyable. ;)

If you want something specifically for 2D platformers,one of the 8bitdo controllers work fine(like the 8bitdo SN30 pro).
Currently I am however using a xbone controller and it works just fine.The dpad kinda sucks for platformers though but not that bad to get used to

Wow, just what I always wanted; less controls! Time to throw out my keyboard that I use specifically for the opposite reason.

That was a really dumb argument, but here's a good one: the analogue sticks on controllers allow for more angles than the 8 offered by WASD, which means finer control in games that allow for it (also variable speeds depending on how far down you have the stick).

Go with PS4 pad, or XBox.
Ps4 is a litle smaller but classically designed, Xbox is a little larger but has D-pad swapped with left analog stick if you know what I mean. (Look at some pictures on the internet).

Both are great controllers, it comes down to what kind suites you best for your hands.
If you have a chance, go to a store and test them both.

And both work with Windows.
XBox from the get go, while for PS4 you need a program Called "DS4Windows". (It's A great program that recognizes PS4 pad as an Xbox pad and you can change all sort of stuf with it, for your controller).

Both PS4 and XBox pads work via Bluetooth, but....
XBox needs AA batteries, while PS4 has built-in battery!

honestly
im a pc only gamer and been this way for many many years
but i cant ever see myself without an xbox controller
the most simplest solution ever
plug and play
works with literally every single game i ever played, no need to edit buttons or use extra softwares as sometimes you need to do in ps4 controllers

reliable and perfect been using them for years

y, the analog stick, muh superiority and a total gamechanger +10 skill for free

totally not a personal preference or proficiency based on using pads a lot, nah, it's just superior and movement requires only 1 finger, madness!

I never owned a console, but if you like games and have a PC, you need a good controller this days.
Come on, it's 2019, people need to stop this wars of which platform is better. We all know PC is the way to go haha, but this invention that is called gaming pad is really good. :).....For some games at least. ;)

if you find those people who hates consoles so much and are pc gamer elitists so the point where they refuse to get a controller ? dont waste your time arguing
i used to but realized its a waste of time, honestly just ignore them eventually its their own choice

You can play with whatever you like.
If you prefer to play all games with K&M go ahead.
You will never know if you're missing out until you try it, now won't you. :)

We used to play games on a pad or joy-sticks back in the day when there were Amigas, Commodores, Super Nintendo, Sega and all the good stuff.
Than somewhere came The PC which was a machine for work, lol.
But on that machine were some games that people played on a job. :)
Like Tetris, Prehistorik, POP (the first one), etc.

And if we go some time forward, PC became this really powerful machine which was more powerfull than any console on the market, but was expensive.
We needed to upgrade that MF every half a year, while consoles were running games for about 4 years, or til the next generation came out....

And we were the elite if we could manage to stay in the top of guys in the elite levels who had the best hardware in the neighborhood, haha. :)

Let's forward to this days shall we.....

Now everybody can buy a good PC, but they are crying for something as basic as to buy a controller for a 2000 worth of a PC.
In 2019.......

Maybe your keyboard is worth 100+ and your mouse for 80, but you are still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that you can't use it for an arcade game, just shows me from what decade you're from, haha. :)

Let me clear it up for you if you didn't understaned all of this.....

2D game---------------------------> PAD-Controller BEST....
FPS, FRP, Strategy games -> M&K BEST....

I have 1-4 of each brand cause of people coming to the house to party up. PS4, Xbox 360, Switch, and even the cheap Power A for backups. you really need a controller for some games to play them properly. its just that gamer's pride that holds them back til they actually find out the hard way and that is when your wrist already gave up on you when you could of saved yourself that problem years back and still had healthy ones.

2D games were allways developed with a PAD in mind, or a joystick, ffs.
On the other hand, keyboard and mouse were developed for working....Haha. ;)
