Morrisleb coin farming

So what's the strategy here? I've never gotten more than one coin a run, so it seems like I would want to run only far enough to get a coin on easy or whatever then quit and go do my relic run on chaos 7. So how far do I need to get in tower of chaos to get the coin? Is it guaranteed or just fully random when you open the chest finally?

1st floor chaos 8 is 100% a coin chaos 7 has a high chance too just doing 1 floor.

Thanks! Just figured that out with my friend. Easy coins now, thought I had to go to floor 5.
