This game is better than it looks first. It has some smaller issues but the overall feeling is good.

i dig it. but i must say its a bit Short and lacks a bit of Depth compared to some other titles. wouldnt count eithe rof both as Minuspoints though.

what i DO hold against it is some of the "smaller issues" Silberstern mentioned.
some things that are expected in the gerne in general are missing.

for example, you can attack an enemy with leftclick and move with leftclick, so far so normal.
now, playing a ranged character, i would like to turn off the Leftclick for attack, so i can move throught/past enemys without stopping to fire because an enemy pops into the field of view on the borde rof the screen. a Option i woudl expect should be avalible.

now imagien this: not only is that option not avalible BUT
im not making this up,
there is a option that disables the MOVEMENT on leftclick but keeps the attacking.

so instead of being able to move without attacking via leftclick we get the option to disable our movement.
brilliant.

another gripe i have with it is: you gather resources for things you dont have access to. for a long long time.
ive played roughly 10 hours so far myself.
i have Fragment gems, that i cant use, i have Gold, i cant use. and i have a display of "options" popping up of which only 1 is avalible everytime i move to another region. why is something a simple as Trading locked behind.. i dont know, maybe store reputation? im halfway through the game and cant trade yet. and there is plenty of these things, which are mighty frustrating/annoying.

i like to compare it with Borderlands.
i love playing Borderlands in True Vaulthunter mode.
but to reach true vaulthuntermode i have to complete the game first on a difficulity that doesnt scale with my level. so i have to play through the game in a way i dont enjoy, to then play it in a way i do enjoy. same here.
once im done witht he game and have everything unlocked i can then play through the game with all its features. Why.

It's a great game for people who want an easy going hack and slay without any gameplay depth, that has no troublesome ingame mechanics and no ingame systems that require brain cells.

The itemisation of the game is crap compared to every other hack and slay it's far to little. The map layouts are far to repetitive. I can watch a movie on one screen while I run it down on the second monitor without an troubles.

The skills are pretty boring and the devs are unable to do meaninfull nerfs and buffs. Elontir is still the leader of the pack since forever ^^.

The endgame is boring af but most hack and slays suffer this fate but we don't even have the item hunt in Chaosbane because at a certain point you aren't happy about a green drop because you have so to speak BIS gear because there is less diversity in Chaosbane items then in genders our society has ^^.

This might be a hint why the game has bad reviews and deserves bad reviews. On the other hand I like the setting, I like the game from a casual point of view but enough is enough the devs made enough poor descissions and I can't recommend this game anymore.

If it's fun for YOU it's great and I'm happy for YOU, no need to be offended by my oppinion ;). I'm just dissapointed by all the wasted potential.

The first issue with left click move or shoot is not a problem. If you want to pass some enemies just press the space key. Shift let you fire on enemies while staying on place. All stuff from the game is available afaik with shop level 10 which you should reach with level or before level 50. Before that it is not necessary to use fragments on any items.

One thing I don't like that the Legendary Levels are only decoration.

The itemizing of the game is not that bad. There are worse games around. How useful are a plethora of items if the character can not use them due race/class and so on restrictions.

"If you want to pass some enemies just press the space key." Space opens up the minimap on the Witch hunter.
the problem would be easy to solve if we wouldnt attack an enemy were hovering over after we already pressed ( and held) leftclick for movement.. like pretty much any other ARPG does. the shift part i know of, doesnt affect the isasue im talking about at all though.

the resources would indeed be useful beforehand, at least if you try to play on a higher difficulity than Hard from the getgo. which some people (like me) do enjoy.
the point is: why do we gather resources for a feature we dont have access to. its needlesly confusing and bothering if you try to find out what the heck youre supposed to do with it.
and features being avalible after you reach max level is no excuse. it just doesnt make sense. same example i made with Borderlands: why lock features behind a levelwall.
silberstern Nov 19, 2020 @ 1:50pm
The use of fragments is quite early available but does not make much sense as long better equipment is dropping at all.
Try to remap your keys. Minimap opens on my game with the tab key.
Most RPG like (action) games are locking stuff behind a level wall.

space is the standard button for chars special skills, there is even a force move button that is normaly on STRG.
using fragments is no issue from my point of view. i normaly do the story on very hard untill I hit 50 and with all yellow gear... if it's good you can crank the game up to C1. With the WH you can instantly play C5-C7 (Depending on the bosses you face) and roll through the level. This works with other classes as well.
My main concern is the defense nerf that happend. My Keela is missing 35 million def, my Slayer is missing 20 million and so on and so forth.

How do you get that much defense? I have only around 600k defense on Elessa. And I have nearly all items red.No wonder do I have some issues with the big bosses.

The biggest problem this game has is the bad and very short level design, there is simply no feeling that you are in the Warhammer World. I think that the main focus was on the character development and everything else was put together so quickly.
The one-sided monster design and without cool champions and bosses additionally increases the negative flow of the game for me, the end bosses are way too easy to get hold of and just not fun to keep cashing in on them.

What I don't understand why there are no modifications to collect like in titan quest or grim dawn or diablo.
Unfortunately, the game more than deserves its bad reviews.

I actually like the game. However the repetitive enviroments doesn`t steal the cake for me. But I like the game.

The game is pretty bad even when compared to old games like Diablo 3 (released in 2012). This game was released in 2019 and it has very limited build options, very few items, repetitive environments, no merchant to purchase items and no competitive play (Diablo 3 has grifts), these are all things that Diablo 3 has and that this game doesn't.
