XP boost in a game without an online server?

That seems more like a dupe to get morons... Aren't characters in this game saved entirely offline and on your computer? with offline play and no dedicated server multiplayer?

Can you just use a mod or a save game editor to boost your level?

Seeing rubbish like that for sale makes me not want to buy it. Unless I am wrong? Are there dedicated online / closed servers that store character data server side?

the buyable xp boost is only 5% and every player gets a free skill which gives you a 10% xp boost wihin the first 2 hours of the game regardless if you own any dlcs or not.

its just a pre order bonus you can buy now that the game is released.

and no, there are no servers, your character is stored on your pc.

I share your concerns. But if it is a preorder option then perhaps its just a widget for those players who dont want to "waste" timing grinding!? Dunno but if its not and the game is made for grinding, is that such a bad thing if the game has content that hooks you in? Unfortunately Im in two minds whether to get this atm. This just makes me hold back.

Maybe we'll see a not editable online only mode some day but right now, with a bit of googles help, you can mess arround with the savegames a lot.

It is a scam. Won't be supporting ANY devloper that does thing going forward. Glad I saw it before I swiped my cc.

I'm a huge fan of ARPGs, I'm not a fan of XP Boosts in games. Pass.

The xp boost isn't worth anything. The game is short to begin with so the 5% bonus make you finish your walkthrough with a 10-20 minute xp advantage, same with the fragment booster. EVERYTHING the sold with the Magnus edition was completly useless.

It's just like open battlenet in D2 times. If you can't trust the people you play with never take anything from them and if someone onshots everything... yeah cheater alarm ^^.

Save being local also means you'll be able to play your character without any server.
You know, offline play, like any diablo game should provide, like titan quest, like grim dawn. When diablo 3 came out, the "always online" thingy was a big deal. Now it seems people WANTS it for some unknown reason.

"XP and gold boosts" are another issue, this was not a great decision, but this is also not very impactful to be honest.

it was just a pre order bonus you can buy now after release, nothing you really need, the ones you buy are only 5 % and every player gets 10 % ones for free within the first 2 hours of playing the game anyways.
