Help: game stuck! (Solved by backup savefile.)

[Trick Question]

I'm on my sixth loop with no assistance. I saved my game at the wrong time and now I'm stuck at the very beginning of the site of Renba's ship crash, except I can't proceed because the rocks form an immutable barrier preventing me from rounding the corner.

I can't go back to the ship. I can't even restart the stupid game without losing 80+ hours of work, because for some insane reason you can't New Game+ unless you're at the end even if you've done it previously.

I'm very sad and rather angry. Is there anything at all I can do? The inflexibility of this game to allow restore points is the only flaw, but it is such a glaring flaw I'm about to lose months of play.

Please help. Please.

You could try restoring your previous save manually. Go to:
C:\Users\[yourname]\AppData\LocalLow\Inkle Ltd\Heaven's Vault\
Rename heavensVaultSave.json to STUCKheavensVaultSave.json
Make a copy of heavensVaultSave_Backup.json and rename it to heavensVaultSave.json
Notice the timestamps of these files to see how far you'll be sent back. Mine are 40 minutes apart.

TYSM! It took some work to find the correct saves on Deck but it worked.
