Or be nice to Six, just try to find out why he wont help you.
any of the two control post give you the opportunity to get around, the first one you can take the high or the low road, and the second one... well ther you can take several choices to rotate or lift/drop bridges to your liking, just fool around with the controls to fool Six.
It's even possible to leave Six behind at the first or the second control post
I often thought *Faq* i'm stuck, but if you missed something important, you get another go at it, some sites are multiple visitable, don't know if the mines are, but it would not wonder me.
And don't forget, you won't forget anything, so you can always sail again, it's the Loop, if you believe in it or not, the End is the Staringpoint for the second, third or umpteenth try :-)
Don't be scared, it's 'just' a game, you won't die, or get lost, or drowned in the wash, just loop to the beginning, and sail again, it's worth it.
Actually it quite a nice thing to see, the Maker(s) of this Universe are socialists, ruining their own after sales income, by letting us Vault time and time again. :-)
Perhaps we should start a Kickstarter to help them cope in these dire straits ?
You can operate the controls in two ways, you can overide the robot locking operation, so the bridge stays in the position you want, no need for Six to keep the magnet interlocked with his hand. And Six won't cross the Gap, he can't Jump (though he can topple down if needed) so it should be possible to operate the bridges with Six "gronded"
i've thought it out then, but i cannot remember exactly, but if you ever played sokoban, you'll get it i hope :-)
The only way to raise the second bridge is from the left console in the second operating room. And so if you raise the second bridge or tell six to do it while standing by it, there is no way to get off the second "island" of rock. Basically, raising the second bridge means you are stuck on the second island, and not raising it means you can't access the far side of the cavern.
This is fine before when six is happy to wait but this is no longer an option once you cross back.
But to get on a whole other level it's essential to "burn that bridge", not to light it, but no way cross it back, there is an other exit, that has to be taken...
Better start over if you crossed the bridge back, i really tried once more to get all the options of combinations of the 3 bridges, there is also a way to make six ""cross"" the first bridge without toppling on it. But it's very complicated and does not change the course of the other 2, and can't lift the curse of crossing backwards the last...
So do not cross back people, it would leave you out of a lot of Sixés knowledge...
