On my second run, once I left Iox...

I decided to see how far I could get without going back. It turns out you can complete the entire game without ever going back to Iox! It was pretty cool to do since the first run I felt like I got a lot of clues from Huang and Mayari. Next up, I'm going to see if I can complete it without going to Elboreth.

One hint then: When you are at the sculptors' moon, don't climb down the pit or at least try to leave it before ou are down to half health.
Else you'll find yourself on Elboreth a bit later.

Since you're running around having fun... Maybe I'm the dork. I've played through couple of times now and still can't figure out how Six got back to Iox. Did I miss something in the conversation from somewhere else?

I bet it's Timor who knows. I don't drink enough to trip the right conversation for that piece of info.

{Edit} I should add I mean pick up Six in the first place since he was with you-know-who when you-know-what happened.

@Zeesha: The Catkis gate tells Six or Enkei where you get long distance hoppered to when you are seperated - it thinks you are your robot's lost property.

:) Yes have run into that. I mean at the very beginning of the game. When you first arrive at Iox and Six shows up to take you to the office and you're given the first item.

How did Six get back, (after the message Renba recorded that he knew about the Emperor and the lie?) Renba got proof at that moon and then boom? So how did Six get to Iox with a wiped memory for you to meet? There isn't a hopper eye there at that moon.

Just something I'm wondering what I missed.

My guess is that Renba reset Six on Iox and made Myari the primary user before Renba set out for the hermitage moon in the eye of the cyclones, if not before Renba went to Maersi. Six might have been with Renba at the dig site.

I'm pretty certain that this is impossible -- I attempted to go directly to the endgame after leaving Iox for the first time, and the required paths showed up on my map (when I was close enough) they didn't show in the sailing display, and therefore I wasn't able to access the endgame.

I suspect that this issue will be true until you've finished the tutorial, and that concludes with your depature from Elboreth.

@Zeesha: Ah no Six wasn't there when Renba crashed - Renba didn't take Six along. If you talk a bit more with the worker Yazi, he will tell you that Renba only had a robot with him once - when he first started hiring workers from the market and never after.

Six is property of the Loop temple on Iox (he will tell you that after your first meeting if you stay a while around on Iox for chatting) and Myari was likely made Six's primary user from the start after he was reactivated.

So she could order Six to tell her everything Renba was doing any time and Renba left him behind before he started digging for the shipwreck, before he went to Maersi or the hideout moon.

Myari was pretty much left in the dark about what he found until he sent her that brooch.

Renba wasn't Myari's friend either btw. - at least according to Huang she gave Renba always the worst schedules etc.

But Renba must have assumed that, if Myrai followed him, she was bringing the robot as a bodyguard, and left some sort of recording/replaying contraption in that cave to relay the message via Six.

Myari does something similar when she contacts Aliya via Six, those are not life broadcasts but recordings with the main message and likely conversation topics.
