Burned Library, any way to take the book?
I've found a burned library with a huge and interesting book on the upper floor. But it is both chained shut and chained to its stand, i cant seem to take it or open it.

After fiddling around up there for a bit, the floor collapses and the book falls, but aliya doesn't check to see if its broken loose. She jumps down and immediately gets beamed back to the ship

is there any way to take that book or read its contents ?

Six will pick up the book after the floor collapses - it should await you on the Nightingale already.

I didn't figure out that I could make the floor collapse by walking around until my 2nd playthrough

I actually dont think you CAN until your second playthrough

You can obtain the Book during your first playthrough, but you do have to try to read the book and discover that it is chained to the stand. Then try to climb the broken staircase, and return, and the floor should collapse and Six will hopper you and it back to the ship.

(If you do not interact with the book, that seems to be the case where it won't be taken back to the ship, even if you do provoke the floor around it to collapse.)

Just go to the second floor, try to read the book and walk around, before trying to go downstairs.

I tried to read the book, but I never tried to pick it up because I thought that might be a ''continue'' trigger, and I wanted to look around more, and Six doesn't seem to have brought it with us after the floor collapse. Disappointed.... I don't have the patience for a NG+ run :(

Yeah, this game is a bit irritating with some situations where if you do not do or say things in a certain way you may miss quite big things that would have been interesting and entertaining. And of course since you do not have manual saves... poof, gone, unless you are willing to start another playthrough from the beginning..

I didn't get a trigger point to interact with the book. Grr.
