it does not have a control scheme nor does it allow me to edit one in gameing mode i tried several proton versions and validating the files, in desktop mode it works but the im
age is cutoff on both sides. please help because i really want to play this

Rhythm Doctor should have a native version, try running without proton, and see what that causes?

unfortunately this is a you problem, as this game runs perfectly fine on the deck without proton. have you got any mods (e.g. Decky Loader or that performance one) installed? Try disabling them if so. If not, maybe contact steam support and see if they have any ideas.
