2 player splits the keyboard into two halves, and the inputs for one player need to be on the left half and the other on the right.
There should be a pop up window once player 2 accepts the game invitation from you or if you minimize the game. Give permission for player 2 to use the keyboard (need to click on that keyboard icon).
One of the players press space or any button on the left side of keyboard (a, s, d etc), the other presses any buttons on the right side of the keyboard (j, k, l, etc).
There tends to be a slight lag for player 2, so calibration needs to be done first before setting the input offset for each player in advance settings.
Sorry if it sounds confusing, it works for me and I was able to complete all the songs with my friend via Remote Play.
Sometimes the input offset in the settings might be off a slight bit for you (e.g actual offset is 180ms but you can only choose 175ms etc).
If the lag is just a slight bit, it'll be better to just play in easy mode!
