3rd Level - I hate it
Like, It's not following a rhythm, it's following the vocal melody, and there are horrible spoken word bits. Everything else about the game is beautiful, but this level sucks hard.

I do like that level but yeah, it does feel like you're forced to learn it through memorising the pattern instead of reaction time/skill

Well... you are right in part.
The part of "heartbeat" follows a different pattern than the other vocals.
When a characters sing you have the other 6 beats to contextualize when to press, and there are no distractions like in Oriental Insomniac. Those parts are following the rhythm and are pretty clear.
But in the "heart-beat heart-beat heart-beat heart" is more confusing, its like the difference between each "heart-beat" is different to the last "heart", I couldn't find an intuitive way to made this difference, so have to memorize. I don't know if is some kind of bias, or is an inconsistency in the song, or I am missing something.
The level description makes reference to swing, a syncopated rhythm, which does describe most (if not all) of the note patterns in the song. For what it's worth, if you catch the first few notes of each phrase, you can predict the 7th note, theoretically without memorization. That said, I wasn't able to get a good enough score on this level, or any other one for that matter.

First 2 levels were manageable. This one drives me mad. I have no clue how to get better at this song and I have no real indicators when I reached the point were I need to try again or how well I am doing. This stage made me decide to not buy the game. If the 3rd level already is a frustrating mess for me, then the game just gives me the feeling to be to dumb to play it right.

One Shift More is a late game level, and there would be levels with plenty of swing and multiple rows before it in the final release, to prepare you for the level.

I mean, I finished the level first trial, so i don't know if it makes sense to say it's bad just because it's harder, of course, everyone has its opinion, but I think that's the magic of the level

The 4th level is absolutely fine too by the way, I listen to enough weird ♥♥♥♥ to get a 7/8 rhythm, but One Shift More is just, not fun. I did complete it, but I could only do it by watching the beats, not by listening to the song.

It's the sections where Dr Page talks that are the worst. You've got the patients on one pattern, which changes the timing of the last beat, then the politician on another pattern, then Dr Page just saying words.

Oh, yeah, just so this doesn't sound negative. I'm still buying this game :D it's delightful.

Honestly, I feel like the game just descends into "artificial" difficulty after the second stage. Lots of stuff would be fine if you were just trying to deal with 2 bars, but even 3-3N gets a little ridiculous.

The hold stages for 4 feel really off with a low actuation point keyboard.

1-1N relies on gimmicks that just make the game tedious and annoying. The final bit of it is just not very fun because it distorts your screen, has a 7/8 time signature, and messes with the music on top of that. I literally can't even count in my head because the music's distracting to the point that I'd probably do better without the audio on that portion at all. In which case, why bother playing the game in the first place?

EDIT: I realized afterwards that this is a necro-post, but whatever.
