Ostalgie: The Berlin Wall

I've been playing the game as East Germany for a while on the easiest settings, trying to figure out how to get West Germany to fall beneath the mighty banner of the DDR. But so far, I'm having no luck. Exactly how is this done?

reform ddr but not too much. form your own economic alliance. keep reformed ussr alive. support raf, let eastern europe turn moderates
I understand the general gist of it. But are there any particular events I should avoid, or go for?

I sponsored USSR and RAF every time, kept old Warsaw Pact and CMEA save and in the end privatized buildings to introduce kadarism. Also I tried to raise ostalgie in events. Sorry for my English

There are no events you should avoid. Events about China and Gorbachev wanting leave warsaw pact decrease ostalgie anyway. You should support socialist party in greece, support communism in poland if they turn moderates. Keep the rest of eastern europe socialist, poland is enough. Agree with Gorbachev trough events. If you already have kadarism in your country you can stop reforming and keep it. Just continue to help socialist world and dont let it collapse trough events. Supporting japan communist also can help. You need to establish a connection with them before election event and also have agents and money. Start another indo-pakistan war and try to help india. You will get 5 agents back and india wont turn liberals. Keep ussr in warsaw pact and there you go. West Germany will love your modern democratic socialism with human face and join you.

And after that with your own new alliance you can return to true communism and wreck NATO i hope.

Apart from the FRG delegation event where you should definitely not persecute pro-unification people or arrange an accident to the delegation's plane, I don't think that there is any other decision that sould be avoided.

you can organize accident. it will not affect ostalgie

What's the best way to keep socialism in the GDR? What's the best choice for dealing with the berlin wall? And how do you keep party unity high?
Stanley427 Mar 29, 2018 @ 4:30pm
You cannot keep socialism in germany as it is. Reform to Kadarism, then you can stop. You can let wall be. It wont affect ostalgie. Get oil canal from libya and asylum in india. Party stability is not a problem if you stop reforming after kadarism.

If you reform too much, than the union of two Germanies won't be made too.

I think Kadarism is just the reformist version of the GDR

Kadarism is an average of 3 in parties and freedoms. I don't know if economy matters.
