So when they say that Exocross will be an automatic update for the Steam users of DRAG: Outer Zones... is what we're playing the Steam version that is supposedly Outer Zones that will get updated to Exocross, assuming it ever actually happens?

It was announced quite a while ago and nothing has happened yet. But yes. If anything actually happens, that's exactly what the announcement says.

I will believe it once I see it happening.
