Potash

Does anyone know how to get/make potash? I can not find it in any of the building descriptions.

probably you do not produce any bark. It is per default set to zero in the Forestry building. But you need bark to produce ash and with water you get lye and than you will get the potash.

Its explained in the building help screen btw.

Even with plenty of bark, the ashery works rather slowly. First the workers burn the bark to produce ash. Then they process the ash to produce lye for soap and then, I think, they process the lye to produce potash for glass. As a result soap and glass production can go slowly, too. I have not yet figured how to speed it up, apart from building two asheries. I would certainly be open to hints and tricks.

yes, it is slow. I now have two asheries for that reason with a population of 650. But it works well for me, I do not have a lack of supply.
