Bell post?
What is a bell post for?

Is that something you put at your front gate to let visitors announce themselves or something you put at graveyard plots to let those buried alive let others know that they are alive and need to be dug up?

I am from the southern part of the US and early 20th century and before we had plantation bells / farm bells. They were used to call the people in from the fields for dinner....Also school houses had bells to ring to alert the kids when school was beginning..

I put it near school buildings. they have to use it to call kids for lessons somehow.
historically, you can put it near church or on plazas, any gathering places in your village. when they had no internet and no cell phones they used bells to call people to meetings or to church.

I don't think they actually *do* anything in-game though. Just aesthetic, unless I'm wrong.

I am now thinking of putting one next to every gravestone. :)

When I was growing up, we had the traditional "chuck wagon" triangle hanging outside our dining hall on the ranch that when dinner was ready they bang the heck out of that thing to call everybody to dinner.

My in laws used to have an old steel fire extinguisher hanging from a post with the bottom cut off they'd wail away on with a ball peen hammer. You could hear it completely across town. I'm not even joking. It sounded like a church bell.
