Since Azusa is a game that promices that the story and the world around can be extremely dynamic as the players roleplay and interact with eachother and the enviroment, the BIG CHUNGUS there prooves how the game can adapt ingame, as the story happens.
Big Chungus in that screenshot is an example of Custom Boss, a mechanic we have that allows roleplay masters to create custom npcs that would fight and roleplay in trials/events depending on where the story head, those are completelly customized ingame, their icon uploaded and details set, so the NPC/event will rp and react depending on each result the rpers get it into.
Trials and custom boss are basically pre-rules the team set in the map, like, if someone bringing a carrot for example, to that place, a big chungus could appear screaming loudly, (random example) and would do everything to try to kill you, or, would calm down if you simply handle him all the carrots. Admins and the team wouldn't know who would RP and interact with this event, they just set ingame the rules and probabilities in them.
Its hard to tell if people will manage to beat, meet or tame big chungus, it all depends on what happens with the story and all the previous events we set
Thank you! I've been holding off on a purchase because of the lack of coverage for this game, but knowing that things like this are even possible is convincing. Not just involving Big Chungus, but the system you described as a whole.
Are roleplay masters limited to only staff and moderators or is that a position that a player can attain? I would be interested to see what sort of user generated content that this sort of system could provide.
But keep in mind most trials and custom bosses are made depending on players actions, admins don't create those out of nowhere, so even not being the roelplay master its up to the player to head the story, mainly if he is a ranked character or a god.
