How to connect a second player into local multiplayer lobby?

Hi, we have found an issue, we want to play it in two players,
but on character select menu - I control player 1 with the keyboard, and my friend with the controller control the same player 1 - he can´t connect yourself as a player 2!

How can we connect player two with the controller?
I want to play it on the keyboard, and my friend on the controller (we have Xbox 360 and PS 4 controllers and two keyboards here, but we don't able to find a solution for it).

Somebody who knows how to solve it?

The only thing I tried is two players on xinput (xbox 360 contoller) and Xbox One S controller.

Да, проверил, такая проблема и вправду есть. Одновременно на клаве и xinput геймпаде не поиграть. Они оба опредиляются как первый игрок. Возможности изменить управление второму игроку нет.

Thanks for a test and confirmation! We tried Xbox 360+PS4 controllers + X360CE emulator on PS4 controller with no success. Somebody who knows how to solve it?

Hi, we tried Meow Motors today again after the new patch and still, we can't join into the game the second player.
We tried to join player 2 on PS4 and Xbox controllers (also switched this in the main menu) - with no success. We are able to play it only in 1 player.
Developers - please fix this issue.

We tried it today after final version - and still no success. We are not able to connect the second player into the game.

This game needs to be fixed for a combination Xbox360 and PS4 controller or keyboard with a controller.

I tried input mapper and ds4 windows and no luck. I was pleased that it had PS4 and Xbox One layout but sad that it doesn't have that option to choose a control scheme for the player.

We finally solved this problem.
We did not set the controllers correctly in our Steam account.

After setting this - it worked, we are able to play this game in two players.

I tried to play this game on win10 with one Keyboard and one Logicool F310.
I had read #7 and had tried it but can't connect the 2nd player into the game...

This game support PS4 and Xbox controllers.
This can be your problem.
We did it with Xbox controllers.

But I don't think my case is another one.

My game-pad F310 is recognized as "Xbox 360 controller".

Check the main menu, you must also set Xbox controller in the main menu.
But I think this can be still a problem, you don't have officially supported device.
If you can borrow or buy an Xbox controller - this can solve this issue.
You can also try to uncheck Xbox and PS controllers in Steam controller setting (if you don't have these controllers too)

I have checked all setting menu but it doesn’t work as I expected.
Ah...I don’t have any friends who has a formal Xbox controller, so I can’t try another game pad.

For some other games (such as Brawlhalla) my gamepad works as expected and I can play with Keyboard for 1st player and gamepad for 2nd player.
I think it is a little strange that the controller isn't compatible with formal controllers...

I will ask artvostok official support and wait for some response.

It doesn't seem possible to play this local multiplayer with two players using keyboard + controller. You need two controllers for this.

Though there is a workaround, I managed to get it working with keyboard and controller using a virtual controller.
