Does this support ancient 3d connexion devices?
I have the super ancient Magellan Space Mouse. Will this product support it?

Got demo, no go, it fails when trying to access the 3dx driver. The Magellan Space Mouse went end of life in 2001, so no big loss, i'm just taking this off my wishlist.

Hi Andy. The Magellen Space Mouse is not supported. We only support devices from the 3DConnexion SDK as listed on the ControlMyJoystick website. We may adde legacy device in the future.

Fair enough, the aftermarket has plenty of old hardware cast off from CAD shops that upgraded, so the ancient, end-of-life hardware can be had for a couple of bucks. Still works great, though.

If you could add legacy devices, i.e. spaceball 5000 usb and older spacepilot models, spacemouse plus, usb, that would be a big benefit. I am currently re-purposing old Logitech Cyberman2 units by incorporating these devices in place of the original sensor arrays and, while they work pretty well through SX2Vjoy+Vjoy, your axis customizing curves make the Spacenavigator series the best thing since sliced bread( I should know, I was there when they invented it-lol).

ControlMyJoystick uses the official 3Dconnexion drivers, and they don't support the older devices, we can't either. I wish we could, because there are a lot of older devices out there still in use that were really well built and will run for another 10 years.
