Linux does not work

I can not start the game. My system ubuntu 16.04 x64, kernel 4.13, nvidia drivers 390.25
intel i7 3770, ddr3 16gb, gtx 1050ti

It seems the game is currently not stable on Linux. It works as expected for some players and doesn't work at all for some others. We are working on it.

maybe an old thread, sorry for the necro, but has any solution or workaround been found?

i cannot get the game past the intro movie, after the intro has played the game briefly flashes an image of a mouse schematic then it CTD's without error message and i can start it again with the exact same result.

system info:
Linux Mint 18.2 cinnamon 64 bit, kernel 14.13.0-45-generic,
Intel i5-7600K,
nvidia GTX 1080 8GB, driver 396.24
32GB ddr3 RAM.

I found a solution: in game properties set launch option

-force-glcore42

This will force game to use OpenGL 4.2, it crashes if your system has higher OpenGL version(today it's usually 4.6).
