Avoid this game - Unless you want $1000-2000 bank charges without warning

There have been multiple reports regarding this, so it's not just the one case either.

*At the time of writing this, Mad World payment processor Xsolla has automatically charged my linked PayPal account for $1000. I did not authorize any types of payments for this game and cannot recommend that anyone make purchases, or link their bank accounts, through the official website until this is sorted.*

This is indicative of the game having unencrypted money transfers, and/or stores your payment data in an unencrypted database. Allowing a third party - or even devs, to access your bank account / paypal.

AVOID this, these are sincere, inexcusable shortcomings, and possibly severe scams!
If at any point you entertained the thought that this game was worth playing - remove those thoughts from your head.

This happened to me back in April as well. The company wouldn't respond. I did get the money back but I had to go to my bank. Xsolla just accused me of trying to get free currency by doing a refund. I played the game one time and never loaded it up again after the hell I had to go through to get all of that taken care of.

Happened to me they stole 100 from me i got it back then they deleted all my chars from Early acess in early march of 2023 when i got the money back horrible pos company it was WAY better in beta at the end of 2022 also then they just nerf things that were fun just make the game garbage like others have said

Would have to make an initial purchase. A lot of us were people who bought a founders pack back last year. The shady thing was that if you bought a founders pack then your payment information was saved with reoccurring permissions in the game(so you could quickly buy currency or whatever) before you even played it as it is a web based architecture. I can't really say specifically how it happened, but it did seem like some lack of encryption on their side as there were no suspicious logins from my account. Could all be fine these days.

Doesn't Steam protect this type of thing since the game is now on the platform? Correct me if i'm wrong but when you buy something now wouldn't it redirect to steam to process the payment?

so what happened is that they had no security on their website so people got hold of all the paypal numbers routing etc and just stole crap tons of money from people when i caught wind of when they did it to me paypal already had a thing with Xstolla and auto refunded everything from them due to mad world also they did claim in 1 post very hidden that they fixed website security months after it hit the fan
