DLC decorations

i got some DLC but cant figure out how to use it? do i have to wait for a certain point to be able to change around my stuff?

You have to go into the decorations menu and activate specific items for them to appear in your shop. They usually display the current event items, some default items, and then if you scroll to the end that's where I usually find my DLC decorations.
