Heroic Feat Dice
So, whenever a heroic feat activates, it gives me a black dice. I have to roll that one dice and THEN I have to roll the rest of the dice. This process is already kinda slow... Why not have the heroic dice roll with all the other dice? This really doesn't make sense to me... and it would help speed up the game.

Because those are the rules of the game. Different heroic feats do different things. There are also a limited number of dice.

Doesn't matter if different heroic feats do different things. If it adds a black dice, it should just be added to the total dice you roll, which should all be rolled at once. It's awkward and slows the game down unnecessarily.

@MrJane:
The rule makes more sense in 2 player mode, where the heroic dice are split between the two characters. You can roll a heroic dice with 1 character via their heroic feat, check the result, and if you low rolled it, choose to roll the other characters heroic feat dice. You then distribute black die gained from level bonus between your two characters. Then the rest of the dice are rolled. If you rolled the regular dice at the same time as the initial bonus black die from your heroic feat, you could "cheat" in that you would now know whether one of your characters low rolled their regular die and thus need the bonus black die from level ups more when distributing between characters.

As your primary concern seems to be game pacing, I would recommend you turn off the dice rolling animations so that clicking immediately reveals the dice value without having to wait for the dice to bounce around. This greatly reduces the time between dice rolls to negligible levels.

Thanks, VoF for the more robust explanation. I haven't played 2 player at all. And I also didn't know you could turn off the animations. That'll help for sure!

Sometimes the result of a Heroic Feat must be applied before moving on to rolling the other dice. For example, the Rogue's black die can cause you to take damage. So yes they are rolled separately, but you really notice this more in 2-player.

Another example is the witch. She can potentially get yellow dice from her heroic dice. If she also has a lot of strength items, she could go over the 8 yellow die limit, and have to return some of her already rolled dice to the pool. Getting to choose which to reroll in such a situation can be very useful.
