Laser guided crossbow

Hi - I have attached the string and laser pointer to the crossbow. I cannot shoot the piece of paper. Each time I try the hero says "bang bang" and "seriously - I'm going to need a bolt." The crossbow looks like there's a dart attached, but I found the dart in the small darkened room opposite my quarters. I can't attach it to the crossbow, so still stuck. Driving me nuts. Any suggestions gratefully received!

This part is a bit tricky, you need to hit the paper a bit to the right to get it down.
If this doesn't work, try loading a previous save.
