Multiplayer not working
So I'm trying to play with my friend, set the campaign to CO-OP friends only, invite him from the armoury but he doesn't join and I can't join him either. I have no clue what is happening or how to remedy the issue

Hm strange. We're not tracking any issues with MP right now.
However make sure your steam profile is "online".

Does your friend get a steam notification after you pressed the invite button?
Like a message.

Yeah he gets the invite but then just doesn't join

Alright, seriously now, make sure your firewall isn't blocking the game, try to join random lobby to see if its just between you or you can't join anything?

You'd be the first ones to be unable to join mp session.

I was able to join a random lobby and actually join it. Haven't found a chance to test to see if my friend can join

Same here, unable to join. Is there a mission we need to complete first before playing coop?

Is he in the campaign screen ? Have him go back to the main menu then invite him.

invited him from the game being closed and it didn't work

they could also try skirmish > server browser to find your game. multiplayer has been working for me

I seem to be having this issue as well. When trying to join on a friends coop campaign, I get an extremely quick message saying "unable to join lobby". Theres more, but its too quick to read.

We are having the issue regardless of who is hosting.

Well if it's just the two of you it seems like one or other is blocking the game when it attempts to join. Odd behaviour if you're both okay joining public lobbies though.

I usually have my game in a lobby or mission setup screen before inviting though only one person out of the 5 I play with had any issue joining on me whenever they wanted.

Maybe try having him just 'join game' from the steam right click menu.

Some games when I accept invite, it'll at most launch game, but not take me to lobby.
On one of the pre-mission screens were you see squad, try using the right click on friends list join, instead of using invites and accepting.
Or since the community is apparently sparse, maybe try rolling it up public, at least while you try to join each other. Switch private after.
