Option to allow AI to control Secondary guns in vehicles
In single player. It would be awesome to have a function in Vehicles to control the machine guns. Like an On and Off button.

Or just a settings where you can select what gun you can control rather than switching seats as you are the driver already

That was already discussed a few times. The problem is, firing these weapons costs energy, and you know how triggerhappy the bots are. That would mean you drive a tank that gets depleted in mere seconds as the bots unload, and also that they would be more than happy to shoot artillery, the main cannons and grenade launchers at their leisure.

So the collateral, even to your own vehicle would be massive.

And if you would give the bots the option to just not use energy while firing... then you would have a unstoppable, ever firing death train.

Either way, I really wouldn't feel comfortable giving the bots the option to control big guns... :D

have it as a command switch that you toggle.

That's why I mentioned on and off or a toggle.

The best way would be similar as switching seats.

Example the controls on switching seats is "crtl + 1" if there is a toggle to on and off it would be a similar method. Ex. you could use "alt + 1, alt + 2, etc.." to switch weather what gun will be active for the bots to control.

Then another option is to manually control the gun by not switching seats.

And it doesn't mean your over powered already since the gun being used depletes energy. It just boring to see bots can't fire weapons and it for fun for players that don't like going to multiplayer.

I bought all there DLC and bots cant fire in vehicle that's just to sloppy and boring in the long run for single players

As far as I know, the AI never actually 'rides' the vehicles, they just dissapear when you get in. They aren't actually in any of the seats.

Personally, I would like this for coop, since it's weird that unless you deliberately put extra guns on the vehicle, the other passenges get to do nothing. Basic driver + gunner seating is supposed to be a staple of multi-person vehicles in basically any other game.

A on/off-option would be nice, but even so, probably still too dangerous with most weapons. The bots are useful if the player controls where the big shots land... Which you can't really do in a vehicle and if they are sitting on a artillery/rocket/grenade turret that sounds effin terrifying to me.

I don't think there are any big changes coming anymore to vehicles, so prolly best you work with what you have. Strip the extra weapons and put on some nano repair bots or extra fuel, or a specialisation that has a high cooldown, like artillery, mines or the dropship
