Campaign stay too easy?
Starting to regret only doing Normal, I'm a "vet" as I've played the WC3 mod this was sorta like forever ago and the older game. Anyone know if the campaign ramps up at all with what it throws at you on normal or figure I should restart and hard technically is normal?

Sounds good, I really miss the difficulty level of the other Red Solstice by you guys I was a fan of. This definitely feels MUCH MUCH MUCH easier, but sadly a lot of my AI squadmates are idiots so figured this was to counteract it.

Is there a way to tell them to use their abilities with alt? I've only noticed hovering over the enemy and selecting the gun, but other than that nothing. (or using seismic skill my AI had but unable to do it)

I'd say leave normal alone. I think it's exactly where it should be. I'm a little ways into the campaign, as a TRS1 vet, I found it easy but starting to see some challenge later in as the story moves along.

I think it should stay as is for the new and/or casual players.

Now the higher difficulties..... they are too easy. I've already done several 8 man runs on nightmare.... with randoms and no mics.... and won. As a TRS1 vet I'm offended that i was able to do that.:steamsad:

I was having an easy time, missions were a cakewalk. Then global infestation jumped from 20 to 60 and I can't complete a single mission anymore. Trying to kite clumps of 5 behemoths, swarms of moths...just not enough ammo and explosives to kill it all. So I'm losing colonies constantly and can't even reach the next mission as of yet.

Figure I missed something important somewhere, trying to figure it out before restarting.

I dont think there is a need to change the normal to be harder, but the ability to change from normal to hard in an ongoing campaign is really good!

Early campaign is indeed NOT very hard.

I'm playing on Hard from get go and I already start to regret it, its THAT hard.
Bots start to run out of ammo for me.

Tried to play my Normal campaign with only the bots right now, being swarmed too fast even with easier mission configurations. Almost unplayable without other random players. Something changed.

I was playing on normal and made the mistake of entering a building to which there was only one exit, the queue of monsters was endless and I was holding out in a corner with nades, traps and whatnot, the swarm just wouldn´t end and eventually I ran out of everything.

I toned it down to easy and still having fun, I just like killing stuff.

I would reccomend leaving Normal alone and instead add a separate difficulty. Adding an additional setting would make both sides of the discussion happy.

There is a big difficulty spike on normal, start off like cakewalk for the first few hours, you can solo most maps with just one hero, and now its barely possible to complete missions towards mid game, even with 3 Ai and bringing in external players to build up numbers to help.

The normal campaign after the big difficulty spike feels like Very Hard/Nightmare Skirmish mode at times - even harder - In fact, I am going to play do Skirmishes for a bit :)

There is a big spike of difficulty on normal campaign after ~4 months in the campaign. I saw 3rd wave with 10+ atrocity/atrocity boss rushing me and my bots. I'm okay with that if it is a 10th+ wave, but this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
