keep killing stuff till you win (don't let them sneak in too far or you'll lose)

Keep giving the reaper turrets ammo and you'll auto win until the thanatos start showing up. It's probably something like 5 minutes.

anybody got their reaper / sam sites destroying each other during the mission? I noticed the top most sam site seems to be constantly destroyed by reaper turret

Happened to me but none of you answered the question of how to beat the level

I almost always end up collapsing back to the second point behind the wall. It's technically a 2 layer wall.

If you go all the way back left to where the enemies exit it's actually a little easier since the enemies stream there in a straight line and has 2 barricades. Ideal for an AI sniper to do lined piercing shots. There is also an ammo cache just to the right of it to refill you (and your AI) ammo when you fold back to that spot.

My always winning plan is I hold the front the best I can but will get over run at some point. So always ready yo fold back to that point. My bots are a heavy with Mini and 2 sniper with strike and Stinger. 2 snipers and 1 heavy or the opposite works wonders. This is hard defense so speed is irrelevant. The different guns with different fire rates works great. I usually run recon on this cause both arty and elpida is perfect here.

My favorite mission... haven't lost it yet.

Feel like Helm deep on that mission.
If you plan to fall to second barricade, do bring the lure as it does delay the enemy.
However, I think that refill reaper turret is a better strategy.
That or you have to get executor suit and Executor Reaper gun for your whole squad.

I think what OP means is what the winning condition is for STROL, and to be honest I dont know exactly either.

Since some STROL ignore you and try to press through to the end of the map where that gate is, maybe the STROL's goal is to damage that gate. You can definitly lose by that condition, I did. But there is no gate health bar or something like that, so I don't know exactly how that works

Edit: Also, in case you havent noticed, you can climb the walls on all sides, by ropes and by stairs. A lot of Quality lockers up there

I always took extra ammo into this mission. Put the bots in the middle to defend next to the barricades (they will hold it) then just worry about running ammo to the reapers on the sides. If they run out of ammo or die, you are pretty screwed. In my experience, if you have to fall back then you are in big trouble, because if you couldn't hold it with reapers and barricades then you won't hold it for long against the bigger waves still coming. The best you could hope for at that moment is to be able to hold it just long enough for the victory to pop.

This is basic military theory... choke points and kill boxes.

The front area has enemies coming from 3 directions which results in split targeting, fire dispersion and distractions. Your bots will aim left while a horde runs up on them from the right. You... the executor... the most powerful damage dealer on the map... gets stuck running ammo and playing super support to cover 3 fronts being less effective.

The back area has the enemy streaming into a kill box from a choke point... Your bots aim and engage in 1 direction alone... even with horrible aim and spread their shots will hit something bad down the stream and do damage. Instead of playing super support running around with ammo, you can post up and shoot in the same direction and add your executor OP damage to the fight.

Play however you want. But I haven't failed this yet and with my strat it becomes almost too easy sometimes.

That strat works fine against regular mobs on a mild infestation difficulty, but when you start getting swarmed by atrocities fluffies and lyganesh, not so much. Your "Basic military theory" doesn't work too well when you can't put forward enough damage to stop the concentrated wall of death from overrunning you. Which is probably why people are here asking for help in the first place.
