Non-Host user can't interact with their own tamed pet.

First of all, loving the game so far! My friends say it is a bit clunky and maybe too hard... But I actually enjoy difficult survival games :) Also being mini is so cool.

1) EXPLANATION
- What: As the Host of the server, I have no issues interacting with my world. However, other players that join don't have the possibility to intereact with their own, tamed pets.
- How: My friend and I tamed our first grasshoppers. However, after taming it, only I could interact with my pet. My friend TAMED the pet, because it now follows him around and helps him out. But he can't interact with it in any way whatsoever.
- Expected: We expected the pet menu pop-up to appear, since he placed the trap and tamed the creature properly. But no menu pops up. He can't even pet the Hopper, so it will eventually leave his side...

2) HAPPENING ON A MULTIPLAYER SERVER
- While only my friend and I tamed creatures, we were 5 players online at the time we found out about this bug.

4) GAME VERSION 1.2_8 ? (Taming Update up and running for all of us)

- CPU: Intel I5-6600K
- 16GB RAM
- Nvidia RTX 2060
- Running on a NVMe.2
- Windows 10 Pro

As far as I know, this bug has been happening to other people for quite some time now, so this is likely an update on the status of the bug.
I have also read somewhere that there is a workaround: Tame your own pet in a single-player world, and then carry it online with you. I haven't tested this myself yet though.

Yea I can confirm this happens for petting your pet. But things like mounting, inspecting, etc work.

I'm hosting my own server aswell, what Xaxxus said applies to me aswell, things like mounting, inspecting, etc work.

Confirmed: I cant pet my pet while playing in my friends hosted game.

I can interact with the pet, i just cant PET the pet so the bond goes down until they leave me.
I can ride, i can command, inspect, and add points. but "pet" does nothing, no animation or sound, the menu just goes away when i click it. then i look at it again and there is still a pink heart next to the PET command.
I can quit the game and select my character and load into my own hosted game and i can PET and it works just fine.

Also another related bug is in the friends hosted game when i hit the button for my whistle there is no sound or animation, But the pet does come to me thankfully.

Confirm I have this issue playing with my roommate in the same house, as everyone has described. Player can go into his own world and pet/bond with the pet but not in a joined world

Confirm, same issue happening as of today. Non-host able to see the pet menu and the pet option, but when selecting it nothing happens.

I have rented a server through gportal and everyone on the server is also unable to pet any tamed creatures

This is still an ongoing issue, even with a dedicated server
