Thoughts on the game
Overall the game is pretty decent. A lot of jank with bugs and such, especially in their little black spawn holes. The worst janky area I think was the tower you have to climb later on.... Freaking Rangers/Archers wtf rip your face off and pets/companions get bugged out and don't really help much if at all while climbing it.

Also found that at the end of the game you get access to the hand cannon but I literally couldn't be bothered to make it and make any bullets for it so IDK how good it is. Was a waste to make it an item at the very end of the game right before the final boss.

It was fun though. Kept me entertained. Was worth buying and playing imo

The handcannon is incredibly slow to reload, and had a finicky delay before firing. Generally, I shot it once or twice at the beginning of a boss battle and then switched to melee. You really didn't miss out on the cannon.

The only reason to bring a pet up the tower is if you're riding it. I've taken scorpions into the tower, and they wreck enemies. Like ark survival evolved, when you are riding a tamed animal your character really isn't there anymore. You are the creature. It took all the damage for me. Riding a scorpion was like getting into a mech suit, or the power loader from aliens.

Honestly there was so many enemies on that tower that after the first couple of floors of it I just ran past them all to reach the top and do the final boss, the hand cannon worked great for me for taking out the vipers and also for the final boss, it’s a little grindy to make the ammo but I just made sure I got 50 bullets made and just used it for the most difficult creatures like the vipers etc, so I thought it was worth it to complete the game

ye the tower was terrible. worst part for me was the raids they are awful, your pets kill each other even with friendly fire off, they also do more damage to your base/defences than the actual raid most of the time, enemies ignore any defences you put up they just magically walk around them or fly over, you do so little damage to them on foot but if you use a mount or party of pets they break everything anyways terrible system hope they do somethin about it soon

Did you guys play singleplayer or with a group of friends or something? It's fun to play through to the end all by yourself?
(I just picked it up, but for some reason I thought this was on decent sized public servers, but when I started it seemed the only people playing online were in private groups)

played single player, heard lots of bad things about public, from griefers to items going missing an stuff there's only like 100-400 people playing the game at any given time on steam according to steam player count it's not very popular, i mean i can see why terrible raid system, pets kill each other, pets damage your base more in base defence than the enemy, unbalance combat, touch too grindy

Ahh sheesh. I just had always had my eye on it, and then impulse purchased it when I saw a "deal of the day"-thing, so I guess I missed all that.
I was kinda in the mood for random online high jinks, but good to know I don't need a group of established friends to enjoy it at least.

hope ya enjoy it more than i did :) the world looks beautiful, it has some really nice features like building, map design an such, but there's a lot wrong with it :) hope they fix that stuff soon so i can change my negative review into a positive one would be interesting to see a part 2 with a more upto date graphical upgrade and bet designed mechanics :)

It's not a bad game overall. Def worth the money to play through it. There is some grind to it but I had skipped making most things cause I didn't feel like grinding forever. Just got what I thought was important and motored through. That being said the only real road block is when Winter hits. No warnings no nothing that I had seen. That was brutal to suffer through. I basically couldn't go anywhere and just farmed resources around the bottom of the trees then until it was over.
