Peaceful Mode

Hello could someone please describe the benefits of peaceful mode to me? I like the sound of not having to fight much but I do know there are some battles needed, does it make the battles a little bit easier too because I suck at combat especially in survival type games, I just like gathering, crafting and exploring. Many thanks for any help :)

battles aren't easier as such. Peaceful mode just means enemies won't attack you until you attack them. So if you hit on bee drone the rest of the swarm will still come after you.

It does make the game much easier, you can achieve your goals quickly and without interruptions. It allows you to harvest unbothered so with enough grinding you could get excellent gear and enough health potions to make most fights trivial.

Once you attack an ant they always come after you, once your near them, otherwise peace ful

No definitely not, I killed an ant last night, the other animals just keep doing their thing.

I've been playing Peaceful mode and thought I should feel guilty, I don't, still fun, don't need every living thing attacking me all the time. Boss monsters still a challenge, start a fight can still be challenge, especially large bee swarms. Probably I'll switch over (now and then I do) and start new character with it turned off, but if you have fun with it one, why not?

Depends if the other ants are close enough in the area. The black ants are usually in groups, the red ants are not.

Yea, no reason to feel guilty. Playing exactly how you want, hurts no one :) I do peaceful when I am just out farming for a bunch of one thing or the other. I put on a pod cast and set the game to peaceful and chill out for a bit.

This is why having those kinds of choices in games is great :)

Peaceful mode is sutch a GREAT idea! And also all the possibilities to make fights easier / harder. You can just make the game how you want it.
Also you can have a really hard survival game OR a nice relaxing housing/exploring game in once .... I started with my guild with the survival part and was not amused ... now I'm playing alone the relaxing peace mode and I'm soooooooooooooooooooo happy with it.

Really clever .... they have done this point soooooo GREAT! Just brilliant!

If you are referring to enabling/ disabling peaceful mode. That was addressed with the last update. It was supposed to be applied to all the settings but for some reason it isn't. For peaceful mode it does, turn it on or off and it stays that way when you log off and log back on.

No no...I meant be able to turn it on/off from INSIDE the server without restarting exiting and restarting. I sometimes enable peaceful mode in my own world to just chill & wander around collecting items. But when I want to play normally I then have to exit out of the world in order to turn peaceful mode off. Would be nice to just be able to pull up the settings and turn it off without exiting the world.
