i disagree. you want to avoid fall damage then use a grasshopper.

i dont think it should go away but i agree to an extent the distance you can fall without taking some linear damage for distance should be nerfed for sure. you fall your body height and take damage...

You have to fall a reasonable distance to take damage. That distance is many times your "body height" and is perfectly reasonable.

i havent played yet so i dont know how bad it is but if its for a bit of realism you need to take into account that for a smaller creature falling from high is less dangerous, terminal velocity in normal atmosphere being much much slower with a light mass vs air resistance, i understand that this is a game and it is a useful mechanic to prevent players from bypassing obstacles and dangers by jumping away. but from a realistic point of view i dont think there is any danger for a human whos as small as an ant to die from falling as long there is air resistance and they are not diving head first

Well sometimes. It depends on the insect. If you drop a tarantula even from a short height it can kill them, their insides and exoskeletons are very fragile. These characters don't even have exoskeletons to help protect them. They also have bones which are denser than exoskeletons so they are heavier for their size than insects.
