Winter/Seasons
Anyone know how long Winter lasts? I'm not equipped for it and its super frustrating to be freezing everytime I step out of base.

On latest patch seasons now last 5 days or 2.5 hours.

Haven't experienced winter yet, but one of the first sets of armor you can craft after you leave the starting tunnel has 9 cold protection per piece. Believe it's called Padded Armor.

Yeah, that set it great to have. On top of that, once you've played a little bit you can unlock the Couldron and fairly easily craft food with 50 Cold Protection, which I believe allows you to more or less run around just fine (as long as the food is active).

1 Game day is 30 minutes. 20 minutes daylight, 10 minutes night.
Rain seems to last 5-10 minutes. Storms last 4 minutes.
Seasons happen (approx) every 5 Game days. 1 Game year is 20 days.
(*these are estimates I have calculated so far. I could be wrong)

Just get a set of padded armor from the first guy you're told to report to, before you go to the elder.

It adds +9 cold protection per part (3 parts). It's enough to keep from freezing in the winter all by itself. Without needing any food buffs.

It's not the best protection wise, but here's a tip. When you get cold, and a portion of your health bar is turning blue... just swap into the padded armor for a few seconds and the blue portion will go away. Then put the better more protective armor back on. Enjoy that before the devs patch that out. Or you can move around in the padded armor, and then before big fights you can open your inventory and quickly hot swap armor sets to put on the better armor.

Primal armor is a straight upgrade for later on, but not required immediately. It's just padded armor with better protection stats/armor values.
