Because you can build a workbench just about anywhere and repair your gear. The repair bench takes next to nothing to build, and you can dismantle it for the mats back.
If it's above a certain threshold, the repair cost no mats. At all. That is ridiculously OP. If you run the durability way down, then you have to kick in extra mats to fix it. Still cheaper then making a new one. Even an item reduce to zero durability can be repaired.
Overall, I like the system.
sweet thanks, i didn't know about the free repairs, if you can just do that then why not get rid of durability altogether? seems a bit daft to cheese a mechanic like that haha

It's not difficult, just tedious.
Cold is similar that you need to carry around stuff for a fire, however i can work with that since it's season based.
