Report a translation problem
I am asking, because I have found tons of eggs, but not once found a "pure egg"...
Maybe it's a translation issue?
Then again, tames from the early game areas are completely useless in the mid- to late-game, so I would not worry too much, if it would have really been a special kind of egg...
My guess goes purely towards the traits of the animals.
As you might have already found out, the animals traits range from common to rare. I guess, the higher the eggs quality, the more rarer the traits, the animals will get, when hatched.
Nonetheless, I really don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the traits of them. I don't see much use of min-maxing breeds like e.g. in ARK, since even with random animals of APPROPRIATE KIND, you can beat even bosses to a pulp (all points into health and damage and at least 20 level ups), without even hitting them once, yourself, so why maxing your pets?
You can also find eggs in legandary quality. So im pretty sure thats better than pure.
(i have not tried the incubation yet)
Legendary is best quality for gear, so i assume its also true for eggs.
Keep your hopes up - and get your revenge on those pesky ants !
Even the worst of them (regarding traits and starting level) level up so fast, that if their species is proper chosen for the region, they completely stomp everything which moves.
I realize, that this is breaking the game balance, somehow. But then again, combat sucks in this game and the pets are such annoying to be around, when you are in the base, since there is no short key for them to "STAY" and "FOLLOW", so you have to manually order them one by one... again and again AND AGAIN...
that I feel this helps me to get my precious lifetime, when shouting about them, so I do not even have to care about growing them, everytime one of them bites the dust.
I do get it, that Smallands try to do some ARK like gameplay with his pretty good looking insects, which sounds fun in theory, but boy, does the pet play suck, compared to ARK.
And even ARK has quite a lot of missing QoL issues I dont understand that they did not solve/add since all those years...
***midnight rant off***
Oh! Gotcha! So there's an ever higher tier to find! That makes me feel a bit better.
I shall do just that. Very first aggro'd encounter was by an aggressive ant back before I even had the controls down. Every last one of them will pay :p
And I do have the 'pets cannot be killed' option on. I wasn't sure how the AI was with following and picking fights.. plus I tend to get attached to critters in these types of games.
Did not know that they come with traits, either. That's interesting!
Is there a way to get rid of unwanted pets at all?
Yep when inspecting one you can choose "release" and they will wander away (at least if you have pacifist mode on, not sure if they'd attack first otherwise)
be wary that enableding this setting you have made 1 out of only 3 legendary traits on tames already entirely useless for yourself.
Bug or feature?
