For instance ants not in party wandering around the base of your tree and harvesting wood/plants and put them in a predetermined chest would be neat. Make it so they're ignored by other wildlife so you don't have to worry about reviving them constantly.
Spiders doing the same but killing other insects and bringing insect parts.
Dragonfly's gathering random scrap loot.
Not be an easy thing to add, and not necessarily think it should be *that* but at least do more than be living collectibles xD
I like the idea. Like an ant trail going up and down your tree for a constant trickle of resources. Or a wasp that brings a "gift" of bug's lymph, like a cat (Look what I got for you! Are you happy?).
By the way, I guess spiders and geckos still can't climb vertical surfaces?
-Bees
Chafing - ouchie
-Butterflies
Weight Limit, you really should eat less
-Wasps
Sliding Off their slick carapace
-dragonflies
Nausea, since they can't fly in a straight line
-Tarantula Hawks
Makes 'em very cranky, and you really don't want that

However, I was seriously bummed not being able to ride the Tarantula Hawks.
Was going to use a pair to help take out all the Turrets... <sigh>
Nope, they climb just about as well as you do normally.
When they release an update, I hope each time it will change but instead they add unnecessary stuff.
At this point, I feel like we will get a few more updates with new stuff and then they'll call it a day. Sure we'll get a game with a bunch of content but nothing memorable.
And it's probably better that way, they should make a new game and switch to a better engine.
and the beetles could function as drop off points. like one ant harvests one resource per second, moves at x per second, which means one ant harvests one resource per distance divided by time. or could assign a party with three or four ants and a beetle or two so the beetle can move slower but with multiple stacks instead of one resource.
or at least maybe a function where you could send beetles home?
