forbidden monuments
Hello everyone,

I have now arrived at the forbidden monuments and would like to know if it is possible to move my base there too? It's a bit annoying to go through the tunnel again and again.

Absolutely. But just so you know, there are no "great trees" there. So you'd have to build a new permanent base on the ground level. No great trees in forbidden monuments or in amber valley later on.

My recommendation would be to just move your tree base somewhere easy to get to from the tunnel entrance. I ended up parking my tree base on the great tree location that is right near the entrance to the main smallfolk ungerground city, on the edge of the river. That way I can run through the tunnel and then fly from the tunnel to my tree base. I'm actually building a whole castle at ground level around the trunk of the great tree.

I have 3 other bases throughout the rest of the map.

I have a small permanent base right at the exit of the tunnel into forbidden monuments, 1 on the edge between monuments and the amber valley, and then a really big base on the hood of the rusty pickup truck in amber valley.

Go to the bird fountain and speak to the individual about the Hawk hunting the airspace over the river... This conversation leads to a series of events that culminate in the results you desire.

I just built a large ground base over there. I have ground bases all over my map, but I have a large one by the church with the pyrite and another large one between the playground and the desert.

Thx! I had overlooked Malik because I had already been killed by a bird and thought I definitely wouldn't mess with two birds. I didn't know that the two were peaceful :steammocking:

Reasonable assumption. The first time getting chased by a hostile blue tit is kind of terrifying. Basically a flying godzilla.

Why are there 2 Great tree in the forbidden lands but they are unclaimable it says you can build on it til you claim it I'm confused on why they are even showing up on my map if they aren't claimable

You will have to complete the quest(s) from Bonnie/Herne to unlock the trees.
There's a quest from bonnidiel, over in the far west area where the mice were added.

Each tree has a pair of birds at the top you will have to fight simultaneously. They do incredibly damaging slam attacks, so bring plenty of healing potions. Bandages will not heal fast enough.
