Grounded or Smallland?
I don't want a bias answer. I love survival games but want to know which one is worth investing time in based on players actual thoughts on the games.

Since you can't seem to make your own decisions, and you're asking complete strangers what you like... I've decided to skip your question about which game to buy and play, and move on to other areas of your life.

You now like the color yellow. You do not wear purple anymore.
Cut your hair short. If it's already short, sorry, you'll have to shave your head bald.
You like norwegian death metal now. You're not allowed to listen to any other kind of music.
You will learn how to clog dance too. In the wooden shoes. You have to tell everyone you meet from now on that really really really enjoy clog dancing. I mean, be really annoying about how much you enjoy it.

Start with those.

Grounded requires a Bill Gates account.

Ok, idiots confirmed. I'll buy grounded then

Only for multi-player not for single player.
Grounded is more focused on story and exploring. Gameplay is fun specially in co-op, but I wouldn't condiser it too polished on the building side. If you enjoy building more, I guess Smallland it is. Smallland is also more combat and RPG than Grounded. I like both games, but I switch depending on what I want to focus. Grounded is fun to play solo as well.

buy enshrouded instead. same price. WAY more content already now 1 week after ea launch than this game has in 1.0.

plus a superior world design and system and better building on top.

i don't know if they plan major changes for the release but as of now grounded is far better for me. SL lack some Qol like craft from storage for example or a better inventory management. The world is bigger in smalland but not really nicer and some creatures are "too real" to keep the game fun. (and i don't talk about spiders).

grounded its not a survival , its a story driven, ''open world'' with some survival mechanics(get water and food not much more).
Smalland would be more like valheim/ark type of game..

just like smalland isnt survival. and what i said was on point. reality denial does not change what i said.

valheim is a superior game compared to this in pretty much every way. there is a reason it was so successful. and that reason wasnt easymode.

you couldn't be more wrong about it again.
*Smalland is a survival , you need to eat , building a base its mandatory to not die and advance into the game, you have to survive the storms and the snow. And in top of that, its more sandbox. Levelling up your character its really important
*Grounded its a story driven open world, you dont actually need to build a base. You dont have to survive any kind of storm because theres not such thing. Every time you start a new game will be almost the same because you have to do the same things in the same order and even maybe unlock parts of the map in the same order too.
Perks are not that important and doesnt really affect much your gameplay style.

And i don't care what you think what its superior or not , not at least with that egocentric attitude and not explaining in what especifically its ''superior''.
been playing valheim since 2021 and have 152hs on it, i really know what valheim is and what it isn't. I know on what is good and what is not really good.
Being popular means nothing on these internet days , where people just play what a streamer plays or what youtube/tiktok tell you to play.

ah yes. lets make a reality check then.

eating and food is so trivial in smalland it just doesnt matter. if you ever die to food youre doing something HORRIBLY wrong yourself purely.

building a base isnt mandatory. which is what sucks about this game. simple fact of reality. thats what happens when you casulize and make everything instant craft.

STORMS lol. 1 single foundation removes storms from the game. and since you carry a workebench around for repairs anyway which you can also craft into a foundation aswell this is truely tryhard excuseing from your end.

a base isnt needed. never. not once. you can just carry the materials for the needed crafting stations around. since all crafting is done instantly compared to lets say valheim or enshrouded you place it. you instant craft. you pack up. no base needed ever. the giant inventory makes this even easier.

the snow is a joke. lets be real here. you have to TRY to die to freezing in this game.

this game is always the same. resources are always found in same places. there is no replay value therefore. again. reality denial. smalland is no different to grounded in that regard.

150 hours in valheim is cute. but for valheim thats nothing. so i doubt your claim about it has ANY weight behind it to begin with.

i dont need to explain whats superior as thats blatantly obivious but since you seem to be of the "i dont believe you" faction here is some simple facts for you :

valheims world is randomly made each time. thus replayvalue is far bigger as you never know where stuff is found unlike smalland where exploration only works once.

valheim is a fair challenge. smalland is stupid easy. you can win by button mashing. in valheim that will kill you.

valheim has terraforming. smalland doesnt.

valheim requires a base and you need to defend it. not the case in smalland.

valheim asks you to beat most bosses for regular progression while you can skip all but 1 boss currently with some tricks thats not something most players can just do easy.
meanwhile in smalland bosses are.... the king for the key. no other boss is required at all. the rest is entirely useless and is just "there" for the sake of it. the boss fight is nothing special either. you button mash and it dies and has just more hp than regular enemies. and camera is horrible aswell during it due to clipping into the player since its hitbox is too small.

valheim has sailing and ships. in smalland you cannot even swim.

both have glideing. but smalland hands it to you at gamestart for a few easy mobs. valheim does ask you to earn it way later in progression.

valheim asks you to make portals for fast travel. smalland is logut and log back in. back at base. for free.

valheims food has a purpose. smalland is just to satisfy a hunger bar and some unneeded cold protection.

shall i go on ? i could but its enough i guess. next time dont say what others say isnt true just because you are beeing unaware of some simple facts.

while enshrouded has more issues than valheim it atleast offers more content for less money currently compared to this game.

im not gonna read that wall of text of you trying to start an argument about valheim being ''superior'' ( the most subjective and off topic thing here) and ENSHROUDED???¿¿¿¿¿ :lunar2019crylaughingpig::lunar2019crylaughingpig::lunar2019crylaughingpig:
enshrouded its not even a survival game and OP didnt even named it AT ALL what the hell?
touch some grass

PD: btw you're waaaaaaaaaaaaay too biased bro, you cant see the full picture of anything and OP asked for a non biased answer
