Reishi Mushroom bug

according to the wiki the only way to make reishi leather is by using the flint ax to cut down the reishi mushrooms but when I went to harvest the mushrooms they say they require the pyrite ax which I can only make if I have the reishi leather. Any idea what I should do?

The Pyrite Hatchet (tool), which is required to harvest the Reishi Mushrooms, is constructed from Iron Ingot, Refined Wood and Pyrite.
I suspect you are confusing it with the Pyrite Battleaxe (weapon), which requires Reishi Leather in its construction.

I agree with Drudackus' comment: I have the Pyrite Hatchet, but cannot yet make the Pyrite Battleaxe. This game is a lot of fun, and I hope that you'll keep enjoying it as I do.
