There have been many many complaints about the storms. I keep my days on 120 and I get 3 storms during the daytime, and two at night. I'm sorry, but that is way too many. I live in the heart of Tornado Alley and we don't even have this many storms.

Ya, they really need to tone it down. It was cool the first few days, but got old real fast.

very tired...storm are crap in this game.the devs need to add a new feature in my opinion : storms countdown event.i cut my playthrough only for storm frequency

I found them interesting initially, then they got annoying, but once I got acclimatised they were just another aspect of the game. They don't last long, so it can be an opportunity to get a cuppa. In any case, I carry materials to repair my gear, so materials for shelter is no inconvenience.

I can build a shelter on the spot for a storm just about anywhere like Drudackus said as well. It takes a foundation and single curved roof piece for the least amount of pieces to survive a storm.

So out and about, it doesn't bother me at all...I usually even wait till after the storm started to build the shelter and if my goal was gathering resources, I continue gathering till I need to come back warm up.

Where storms are ANNOYING, is when building bases or some sort of large structure...the shaking when trying to get a already difficult process to find the right placement makes it nearly impossible.....it got old real fast.

But that's the problem. Storms are so frequent, it's nothing special anymore. A storm should be a frightening and dangerous event for the small folk, not something that happens twice a day where you just think "oh well, time for the two piece shelter again".

I agree with you on all of that 100%. Its stuff that I and others have already said. I've made lots of suggestions previously on other posts what I think what storms and winters should bring. I and others have said that storms become bathroom break/drink run...literally encouraging players to walk away from the game. It happens way to often and its not a challenge at all. Winter has been a complete let down so far.

To recap some suggestions for storms

1. Storms - Give players control on frequency and how extreme
2. Storms - Remove the shaking while in the building hammer
3. Storms - Add flooding areas on the ground from rain
4. Storms - Add Wind Areas that push players around ( elevated areas and gliding )
5. Storms - Shelters need enclosure ( full tier 1 room = 4 walls and roof and floor )
6. Winters - Little to no resource plant life
7. Winters - Almost no edible plant life
8. Winters - Little to no bugs
9. Winters - Shelters need insulation ( full tier 2 room = 4 walls and roof and floor )
10. Winters - Snow changing landscape by having a few inches of snow everywhere
11. Winters - Freeze some water areas that you could cross
12. Winters - Crossing some ice areas break through dropping you into freezing water
13. Winters - Require Snow gear for traversing the snow
14. Winters - Require Snow Armor for max cold protection

Winter is coming

Very good collection of suggestions, I would add to
2.: add a setting to get rid of screen shaking completely
As I´ve said before, for people who get motion sick easily or get other similar effects, it´s an accessability issue.
