@DEV Are there plans for making the Grapple hook not suck?

First, I like the game and I appreciate all the effort developing the game and engaging players feedback, so please don't take the title criticism as attacking. It is Early Access. I expect things not to be fully fleshed and accept that there will be bugs.

However, I never see any posts replying to concerns over the grapple hook, or FAQ addressing it except for one statement saying that something was coming to compliment the grapple hook and then we got the catapult in the next update which ironically just replaces the grapple hook instead.

So my questions regarding the Grapple Hook are:

1. Do the DEVs plan on addressing glitchiness with the Grapple hook?
2. Do the DEVs plan on allowing the player to use the grapple hook to climb up or repel down?
3. Do the DEVs plan on adding the grapple hooks as its own equipment slot instead of sharing with the arrows?
4. Since the Catapult exists now, Do the DEVs plan on making any kind of upgrades to the grapple hook to make it worth keeping in the game?

My main concern is the glitchiness. Almost all of my deaths come from the grapple hook. In my opinion, the grapple hook is broke. Again, its EA, but also again, it seems like the DEVs have stayed clear from addressing it.

Here are examples of the glitchiness I experience while using it.

1. It only sometimes works.
2. Its not possible to really know the range of the hook, so if you try and its too far away, its breaks your glide and you fall down to your death.
3. If you switch to the grapple hook mid flight, it wont shoot.
4. Sometimes when you jump with the grapple hook equipped, it still wont shoot.
5. Sometimes when you do shoot, it shoots immediately releases.
6. Sometimes when using the grapple hook, it gets caught on a twig or something and you do loopty loops, and you have this dumb half loop string thing where it got caught hanging down and then looping back up to the spot of where the twig is and thats where your stuck at and you have to let go and fall.
7. Not being able to pull yourself up or repel is just a huge disappointment.

I still try to use it, because in the more rare situations where when it works, it'll extend my flight and again when it works correctly, its awesome.

In regards to using the rope to climb up or repel down, there is literally no areas within the game that you can't get to by some other means, like building stairs or bridges or using the catapult with wings, so there is no argument that there is an attempt to limit what areas that the player can get to early on or late game.

Just to touch on the possible upgrade for the Grapple hook. I've posted before of an idea to use it as means to shoot a creature with it and pin it to the ground or tree or something for a short time. Imagine a dog on leash thats tied to a spike into the ground or tied to a tree, but replace the dog with a bug. Just throwing something out there thats outside the box.

Again, I appreciate the DEVs efforts, just would be nice to know that this is on their radar.

Would really be good to get some info on it at least. Personally I stopped using the grapple hook at all, since it´s not really useful, unrelieable and the ammo included, takes up 2 precious inventory slots.

Would love to see a plantable version of the grappling hook, fire it from a tree to the ground and use it like a zipline.

Same....I've suggested zip lines in the past as well. I've also suggested using the grapple hook to shoot at creatures to temporarily tie them down...kinda like you pin a stake into the ground and tire a rope to it and then the leash of a dog, or something from gullivers travels. Just more use cases for the grapple hook would be nice...but first and foremost....fix it.....which Tom finally stated that they will be making adjustments to it.
