But here's a little tip about things like crossing water. You can just tell the companion to stay, get to the other side, and then use a whistle tool to summon it to where you're standing. No falling in the river.
I'm just curious about what you mean by "final" set of armor in the south. The best armor is the iron wing (highest armor value, and gliding wings) and that's on the west side of the map in the greylands, made by nok.
Firstly, unaccessed Gravestones eventually transfer to a spot just outside the Burrow. So, if you don't mind just doing stuff near your base for a while, the gear will eventually be accessible without having to do a long walk. Its a question of base location and patience.
Second, walking 'back and forth' is certainly the preferred option for many players. But when you login to a server/game, you appear at you active bed. This means you have the option to log out, and login again, effectively teleporting to your base, assuming that is where your active bed is. Some will tell you its cheating, or blah blah blah, whatever, but let them play their game and do their thing, and do what suits you best. Either way, its an option for you to be aware of, and perhaps use if it suits you.
The pets are clearly in need of some work, so it may be less frustrating to leave them alone until that work has been done. Just an option.
