A bit confused.....

When people refer to the spiked iron pickaxe, do they mean the spike pickaxe which is made with iron shards? I am told I need a spiked iron pickaxe for clay, is it the same as spiked pickaxe, thx.

The Spike Pickaxe is the tier 3 pickaxe, crafted with Iron Shards. The Iron Picakaxe is the tier 4 pickaxe, crafted with Iron Ingots.

A spiked iron pickaxe does not exist. There is a spiked pickaxe and there is an iron pickaxe, two different items.

Show an unedited screenshot of a spike iron pickaxe in game then?

You're assuming that what people told the Op meant the same. Maybe they were trolling the Op so they would have the advantage of having clay and the Op doesn't, as they would not be able to find a spike iron pickaxe at all in game.

The other possibility is the Op made a mistake with names when writing the thread therefor that would change the entire understanding of their question. Are they the same?
