WHY damselfly? WHY?

I kind of dislike the mounts in Smalland, because they are low on health and getting killed by every enemy.
I tamed a damselfly and an ant attacked me. After one hit the low life damselfly tryed to help me and got killed by one of my swings.
The next damselfly was a little bit smarter. Sadly you can't realy "fly" with it, but you can hover over everything. Everything? NOOO. You catch a damselfly over a small lake, but if you only getting to close to water, this stupid thing doesn't remember how to hover and does a suicide dive into the water.

You lost me at "next damselfly". I tamed one, it died two minutes later, LOL, because it drowned in the water. Nearly drowned me too. I'm not even upset, I am actually laughing right now remembering it. Blub blub blub. Feet don't fail me now. Swim you fool, swim!

But it was enough to swear off even getting a second until they rework the whole system.

Horrible as a flying mount.

EXCELLENT as a submarine (until it drowned).

There is dark humour to the stories about the pets in SmalLand. Its morbidly hilarious.

Yeah, friendly fire always being active on mounts is enough for me to not bother.
If you could attack while mounted (or spider wasn't pathetic), and didn't die from a slight tap... well, they'd still be crap, but at least somewhat useful.

I'm guessing they'll get a rework, but also not bothering until then.

All the tames in this game have been absolutely useless to me. The damselfly was the last straw, I'm putting the game down and hoping it gets better later.
