Damselfly what a let down :(

Ok I just finished playing this for 64.4hrs, I was looking forwards to getting and flying the damselfly so i could go and check out all the places i missed or couldn't get to.

BIG big disappointment, the Damselfly is worst than the gliding, it's basically a hover bike, a slow hover bike at that, i'm pretty sure they have taken the exploit out already, so you can't even do that, it's a real ,"what were they thinking...?" prize.

i'm done for now, as I said i've done 64 hours already, i'll leave here till they get there big update in latter, it was a lot of fun to play up to here, but the damselfly was a major disappointment as a prize, after completing the main quest, it's literally saying, here's a prize that will slow you down and make it even frustrating to play,

The Damselfly really needs to fly without restriction, it would be so much fun if it did and the game like all games is suppose to be fun, please let us have fun with it, what a great prize it would be if it did.

I agree. If it helps you any, I managed to kill my first damselfly I tamed in about 2 minutes. I was running from a sawyer beetle, tried to see if I could go over the water. Turns out... ya can't.

Went straight into the water, and damselfly drowned. Nearly drowned me too. I haven't bothered to tame another.

I'm holding out hope for the hornet. Sounds like a beefier scarier mount anyway. Like flying around on a dragon. "ya eyeing me dog?? ya eyein me? you want the stinger???". I'm just gonna fly around and do travis bickle imitations. I'm hoping by the time the hornet gets added, they will have completely reworked all the mounts to be actually useful.

All of the tames suck in every possible way really. Wasn't a shock that the flying one is terrible too. The developer needs to either COMPLETELY overhaul the tames by making them not suck in general. (Need to be faster than I can run. And have craftable armor or something to make them not die instantly in battle.) Or just remove them from the game, because right now, they may as well not be in the game, since noone uses them after trying it once.

Thats literally what we're supposed to do here chief. Point out the giant massive glaring issues with the game before it's too late to change them. You know... something like an "early access" "development" stage of the game. Figure that.

OMG!, your right, how dare i speak up at all, what right do i have, i was soo soo soo soo nasty, you have shown me the error of my ways, I will never make another post again, in future i'll run it by you first, I sincerely hope i didn't hurt your feelings to much, i honestly hope you recover and can keep playing with the knowledge that the game is perfect and needs no fixes or updates at all, it's a complete masterwork, amazing just an amazing game, I was so wrong to post up.....

You know if you play offline, the game will never update and always remain the master piece it is today, really hope this helps, sorry again.

Its literally the reason for early access. aka "Pay to beta test"

All of the pets could use some rework one way or another, but remember it's really very little effort to get these things tamed atm so currently they add very little in return.

I might waste a bit of time and tame a damsel fly just to see what it's like. If it dies it's no real loss.

I suggest making the tames instead be livestock. Like they can just be at base to breed or something because for real, TAME CREATURES ARE SO USELESS! NO POINT IN TAMING THEM AT ALL

I totally agree! I had so much fun in this game! I was looking forward to finally flying around and collecting end game content. To only be let down and realize the only good traveling mount is the grasshopper which you get at the very beginning of the game. They need to make it a actual flying mount. It's honestly a make or break for the game imo.

..this exactly! Great game, Tames need completely redone or completely removed. So much potential being lost here.
The Tames looked amazing in the Trailers, but they're very different in the game.

When I got armour with wings I didn't see much point in getting a wonky damsel fly. I still plan on trying one out though, just for a bit of fun before it dies. 🙂

I used the grasshopper a lot before I got my wings. And I still use the ladybug. But im careful and only summon them into safe spaces.

I found it to be a let-down as well, the stamina drain is crazy and lack of being able to fly a higher was a negative surprise (I'd also love for it to able to simply hover in the air for longer).
