MAJOR I MEAN MAJOR CLAN CHANGES COMING

It appears the Pix gods want us to be more active in clan building. With the new update a Senior clan leader will be replaced for more than 30 days inactivity. Also the new clan system will show the last time a pilot was online and how long they've been with the clan (Seniority). What I see as most telling is clan maintenance cost. Each clan will now have a Starbase. Clans will have to pay daily for all members to enjoy certain resources. There will be a clan treasury where funds will be deducted daily to pay for Starbase maintenance cost.

Looks like the Pix gods are doing a bit of housecleaning and also found a new way to make you pay if your in a clan. If you're in an active clan, probably nothing to worry about.

So you mean to tell me, I make a clan, and after 30 days, I'm booted FROM THE CLAN I MADE?
I have a clan, but its casual. And if i get booted from a clan (including people I have grown to call friends) I've run for 2 years over this, I'm gonna be pissed...

HERES THE BEEF

Up-date over, came in and found a Starbase at lv 1 and 17000 in the treasury. After doing all the upgrades that don't require daily maintenance cost, 8000 left. My clan is at lv 8. But, we were 38 clan members, to do further upgrades cost 2100 for the workshop upgrade and 4000 for the 40 power cells per day at a cost of 1040 Thorium per day. Once a do the next two upgrades and go to lv 10, there is only 3900 Thorium left. In three days that will be gone because of the 520 per day maintenance cost. Now, that is only level 10. Further upgrades cost another 520 Thorium per day. Again, it cost 520 per day which is based on clan size. At level 12, if I choose upgrades with maintenance cost and by the way, those are the upgrades you want, now its 2040 Thorium per day. Get the picture.

There are really good advantages to upgrade the Star base for the entire clan if you have the thorium to do it. There is even an upgrade where everyone gets Microchips everyday if your clan can reach that level. Today, first day with a Star base, I played against a whale whose clan is lv 24. Yes, 24. Get the picture.

As I had expected, the new Star base system will increase the haves and decrease the have nots.

One other thing, no more recruitment for my clan is possible. While my clan has 38, the Star base only accommodates 20. Only by leveling up can the clan have more member.

If you are the "Clan Leader" and been Inactive for 30 Days', the Leadership will be automatically rewarded to the Most Active Staff Member / Member. You will not be booted; unless, the "New Leader" is an arse.

Where do you go to get those data?

Also, Pix has IMHO not historically shown any interest whatsoever in not alienating "moderate" spenders, i.e., those who spend ~$20 per month or so. I used to do that, but then I got the hint that if I want Pix to give a **** about me, I need to spend more like $2k per month. So, they can eat me.

Still no in game chat, and now we have a new currency we have to spend daily to "maintain" our Star Base? Lol I bet you guys are gonna use it too! And that will give Pixonic the data that they think you like this change.

I called it, I said this would happen earlier in a previous thread: That they'd come out with something new or premium to revert the changes to Titan/Mothership charging.

I don't know where Pix got the 17000 Thorium they started my Clan. Their examples in the videos has 72000 for the clan. My clan's level was DDD, around 55000 clan points prior to the update. But I have played against other clans at lv 24 already. WTH.

Understand, to obtain 40 capacity for my clan cost 100K gold to go from 39 to 40. Everyone donated to get there. That is all gone. We are now at 20. The gold the clan put in is gone and we are starting over. My clan was nerfed.

Another problem now arises, clan members who don't donate. The new system keeps track of who plays and who donates. If you have active members who don't donate their Thorium, do you call them out, shame them, banish them?. For my clan, no, too easy going for that, Anyway, I have no idea if these member's even know how to donate. But the new system does make this obvious. In fact, everyone in the clan can see it. So, will this sow seeds of declension among members? In my clan, no, we are too laid back and its only social. I wonder how this will work for other more aggressive clans.

I remember when "War Commander" introduced a new resource, Thorium. It was so rare and needed to push units past the old upgrade level limit beyond (i.e. lvl10+) It had clans fighting EACH OTHER over Thorium deposits, clan members battling and bickering each other over every drop of Thorium.

I knew when I saw that term introduced here it would involved a tactic of pitting allies/clan members against each other. This will in fact shame people into either spending more money or feeling ostracized.

Just like the Drones update, where all your work and effort is taken away, and the new system doesn't even come close to replacing the value, time, or effort lost in the "conversion"

The usual War Robots content creators will accept Pixonic's thumb up their bum, and make new videos barking about how cool and awesome and wonderful the new Star Bases are, and the spineless, character deprived, zero will power sheeples will squat backwards and spread eagle their wallets and pay Pixonic for the privilege of being abused by em.

Saying Pix is gonna do $$premium$$ is like saying water is going to be wet next week. Pix has a propensity for predictability but here's points fer yer predilection.

I'm perfectly willing to donate my Th, what the heck else am I gonna do with it, Pix? But I sure as **** am not buying any with cash money.

Funny you should mention the Mother Ships. In a future addition to the Star Base, upgrades to the Shipyard allows for special abilities for Mother Ships that only upper level clans will have. Also, upper level clans get bonus' for Pilot Experience points as well as extra resources like Power Cells, Microchips and get this, there is actually an upgrade for Power Crystals to be distributed among the Clan members on a regular basis. If you can afford it. This is really over the top Whale stuff here.
